About Me
My calligraphy journey began in 1990 at a local community college and has since taken me across the U.S. and abroad, to England, Italy, and Canada. I’ve had the rare privilege of studying seventh-century manuscripts on calfskin vellum, using tools that remain, at their core, unchanged for centuries- simple instruments creating timeless beauty.
Since 2002, I’ve been honored to share this art through teaching. My students consistently inspire and challenge me, deepening my commitment to the craft and reminding me how powerful it is to create beauty with intention. Teaching remains one of my greatest privileges.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with exceptional invitation designers and event coordinators, and my work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Seattle Bride, Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom, and wedding blogs such as Style Me Pretty and Junebug Weddings.
But my greatest joy comes from working directly with clients, whether they are brides and grooms, parents celebrating milestones, or individuals seeking to commemorate a special moment.
But equally meaningful are the private clients who bring their vision, their story, and their trust- inviting me to create something deeply personal for life’s most cherished moments.
This path has connected me to a lineage both humbling and invigorating. It is my joy to preserve and carry forward this enduring art form, to place beauty into the world with care and gratitude. My hope is that the joy I find in creating is felt, in turn, by those who receive it.
