Welcome! Pilgrim’s Quill is the independent calligraphy studio of lettering artist Christy Schroeder. Because you are here, I think we share something in common—the idea that hand-rendered calligraphy is something special and more than a craft of bygone days.

Surrounded by pens, ink, gouache, and lovely paper, I have been pursuing my passion for calligraphy for more than twenty years. I love expressing the beauty of words through lettering, and, even more, I love sharing that beauty with others. This is where you come into the picture . . .

Whether it’s an exquisitely addressed envelope for a wedding, or one that’s fun and funky to make a friend smile; a wedding invitation embellished with ornate flourishes, or a hand drawn greeting card that shares one heart with another; or perhaps the vows you exchanged with your beloved on your wedding day, or an heirloom work of art that celebrates the birth of a precious child . . . I’d like to make it beautiful just for you.
